Working Groups

Several working groups bring together members of RIQEDI, funding agencies, the Commission des droits de la personne et de la jeunesse (CDPDJ), community and research organizations to work on specific issues and themes.

Mission and governance

This group is responsible for the proper management and development of RIQEDI.

Self-identification

This group is working on self-identification prior to hiring, at employment (census) and during faculty recruitment.

Academic career and the notion of excellence

This group is responsible for redefining the notion of excellence in graduate studies, research and the academic career.

Inter-university training in EDI and Glossary

This group works collaboratively to develop bilingual training for Quebec universities. In addition, RIQEDI supports the updating of the NSERC glossary.

Persons with Disabilities

This group is interested in the issues of people with disabilities for the entire university population.

Indigenous Peoples

This group seeks to involve people from Indigenous communities to better understand the issues they face in the university context.

Different student groups and services

This group works collaboratively with students, associations, services and scholarship specialists to understand the issues and support the student population.

LGBTQ2+

This group is working on ways to raise awareness of the issues facing people in the LGBTQ2+ community in the academic population.
