Awareness project on the realities of LGBTQI2S+ Indigeneous Peoples

Mikana and the RIQEDI are pleased to announce that the joint awareness project on the realities of LGBTQI2S+ indigeneous peoples has been selected for a grant from the Department of Justice as part of the Fight Against Homophobia and Transphobia program. With the collaboration of an advisory committee, this project will aim to raise awareness among indigeneous and non-indigeneous peoples about LGBTQI2S+ issues through community consultations, the creation of awareness materials and workshops, and indigeneous and non-indigeneous encounter groups.
